Evercrete Pavishield® - Penetrating Concrete Floor Sealer & Hardener

Beyond Protection.

The only deep-penetrating permanent treatment (up to 34 mm) providing Curing, Hardening, and Protection in a single application. CE Certified & 0% VOC for LEED/BREEAM compliance.

Total protection of your floor

With Pavishield® you can improve the life of your industrial flooring because it is the only product able to protect the concrete at 360 degrees, even outdoor. With Pavishield® you can prevent the deterioration of the concrete from the first minutes using it as curing compound. Then your floor will be protected also from atmospheric agents, from deicing salts, from superficial wear and from rising damp.

What is Evercrete Pavishield?

It is a spray-applied concrete floor sealer made from a blend of modified liquid silicates and special additives, based on Ecobeton's original proprietary formula. With decades of experience in the field and millions of square metres of industrial concrete treated, Pavishield® is the ultimate waterglass concrete protection.

A single product, a unique product

Curing compound, dustproof and anti-deterioration in a single product, with only one treatment. Thanks to its innovative and ecological formulation Evercrete Pavishield® is a permanent treatment with which you can reduce maintenance costs by more than 60%. Thanks to its versatility, the designer can guarantee reliable and certified results.

Key Benefits for Industrial Concrete Floors

Curing compound: When sprayed on fresh concrete, Evercrete Pavishield® slows water evaporation from the concrete mass, dramatically reducing the risk of cracks and fissures from concrete shrinkage.
Hardener: Increases surface hardness and wear resistance more than 30% on concrete of any age. Used as a concrete hardener and sealer, it serves also as a dustproof sealer.
Protection: Shields against weathering, deicing salts, freeze-thaw cycles, and exposure to aggressive physical and chemical agents such as motor oil and fuel. Pavishield reduces the absorption of oils and grease up to -67%.
Deep penetration into the concrete mass up to 34mm guarantees permanent protection and lasting effect, without altering the surface (slipperiness, colour, texture, etc.). If desired, you can even install any other overlay on top of a concrete floor treated with Pavishield® penetrating concrete sealer.

A certificated experience

Evercrete Pavishield® is an EN 1504-2 concrete sealer, CE marked, and complies with the principles 1.2 (Ingress protection) and 5.2 (Physical resistance). The LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) study was conducted in accordance with the EN 15804 standard for EPD in construction works. The VOC content is zero for LEED/BREEAM compliance.

How to Apply Evercrete Pavishield

Step by Step

Usually, silicate concrete sealer cannot be applied directly to fresh casts because the silicate reacts quickly with cement and “burns” the surface of the floor. The exclusive formulation of Pavishield turns a potential problem with silicates into a great opportunity to use the product as a concrete curing compound, enhancing surface properties and reducing concrete floor cracking.

Spray application of Evercrete Pavishield concrete sealer as curing compound on fresh concrete floor

As soon as you can step over the concrete floor, for example, just after the power-trowel has terminated its job, you can spray the first coat of Evercrete Pavishield® all over the surface, wetting the area uniformly. We recommend a low-pressure sprayer, as used in agricultural environments to apply treatments to the vineyard.

Cement laitance on an industrial concrete floor after a saw cut.

If you plan to install control joints by sawing the concrete floor, we suggest applying the second coat after this operation. Be careful that the concrete saw cut will generate cement dust; clean it thoroughly before proceeding with the penetrating concrete sealer application to avoid a reaction.

Rinsing the concrete floor with a washer-dryer machine

If you are treating a concrete floor indoors, we also recommend rinsing the full area with a washer-dryer machine to prevent minor aesthetic issues in case of localised product stagnation. When applying the waterglass concrete treatment outdoors, this is not strictly necessary.
